How can I use configurations in sub assemblies?

  Hello, I do get configurations to work in an assembly. But when I want to use configurations in sub assemblies. I cannot get it to work.
  
  so I want 1 assembly with machines and be able to change the configuration of 1 machine by its own sub assembly.

  In order to modify subassembly configurations, you need to right click the subassembly in the structure tree and select Open Component. Make your configuration changes at this level and then close the component to return to the main assembly.
  
  At the current point in time there is no way to alter the subassembly configuration from the top level assembly UI.
