How can the mesh be improved _

  Hi, I am preparing a simple 2D rotor-stator cavity for Fluent simulation as a basis for further development for rotational flows. Any suggestions on how the mesh can be improved as I am finding it to be quite rudimentary at present? Would you suggest using edge sizing at the complex region rather than a sphere of influence? And is Ansys meshing even the right tool for the job or should I switch to ICEM?

  Other than some additional refinement in the narrow section it looks OK. ICEM CFD is a very powerful tool, but isn't as widely used now other than for turbo applications. If you're learning I'd stick with Ansys (Workbench) Meshing for 2d and Fluent Meshing for 3d (although if you've learnt Ansys Meshing that's fine).
