How do I place a Lagrange structure into an ALE element?

I am modelling a FSI problem and am having an issue with placing the Lagrange structure (steel H piles in this case) into the Eulerian elements (water in this case). The issue is if I model the piles directly in to ALE mesh and assign a coupling contraint between the pile elements and the water elements, it creates an instability and sends the water flying in all directions, which is definitely a non-physical behaviour. Note that this does not occur at t = 0 sec, but rather after some time has elapsed (say 0.5 to 1 seconds). Does anyone know how to correct this issue? Thank you.

      Hi,

Leave the piles as Lagrange and use water to ALE then use Constrained Lagrange in solid card and check with DIREC parameter =3 control ILEAKĀ

      cheers, RamĀ
