How does ANSYS mechanical determine the stress intensity factor?

      Hi,

I am currently doing simulations on a 2D bimaterial sample (SS/aluminum) with in a interface edge crack of arbitrary length "a". I use a thermal condition as my load and plane stress behaviour and weak springs as my boundary conditions. I am able to analytically calculate the von-mises stress by using thermo-mechanics laws but now I want to do the same for the stress intensity factors (SIFs) K1 and K2.

Can someone explain to me how ANSYS determines these (complex) SIFs and how I can do this analytically?

      Thanks in advance!
