Subscriberif the geometry is made of lines as the beam model you can apply q*l as the load for the beam model by selecting the line and it will distribute and you can also use line pressure
If you modeled your beam with surfaces then it is correct and also you can divide the total load by the area of the surface and that magnitude pressure you can apply to the surface which will be normal to the surface.
