How motion relaxation works in FLUENT

  Hi all,
  
  I am working on a problem where large displacement of rigid bodies is taking place because of fluid force acting on it.i have run few cases where i have changed this mesh motion relaxation value and got different convergence with different value. I would love to know more about this. i am using 6dof in dynamic mesh with spring based smoothing and re meshing.
