How the result (volume fraction) obtained by fluent is set to become the initial condition

      Hello there

      I simulated the liquid-solid two-phase flow using the E-E + vof method.

      My simulation is a forward and reverse process.

      Now I want to export the volume fraction distribution obtained from the simulation as the initial volume fraction distribution under another boundary condition. Can this be achieved?

      If you have saved the Fluent data file for that particular time step, then you should be able to extract this VoF contour distribution data. If you did not save the data file, then you will have to re-run your model, unfortunately. When you do this, please set-up an automatic export.

      Thanks for your answer, but I still have some questions

      Suppose I get the following results (volume fraction distribution). I saved the output file of the result. What should I do to turn the volume fraction distribution of the result file into the initial conditions for a new simulation?

      If I use adapt I can only set some simple locale initial volume fractions

      Is there any relevant operation steps or tutorials?

      You need an interpolation file rather than the data file. n
