SubscriberI am trying to run a AM simulation within ANSYS however I am required to define the gas and powder convection coefficients.nThe powder is 316 steel and the gas I wish to simulate is argonnI have a preheat temperature of 100C, cooldown at room temp (22C) and base plate volume of (100*100*12mm)nI am unsure how to calculate either of these coefficients. Does anyone know how to go about this or if there is a formula to use? n -

Ansys EmployeeA film coefficient could be calculated with a CFD analysis, but typically it's easier to look them up on the internet. Try a search with keywords 'argon' 'film' 'coefficient' n -

SubscriberI have attempted this and have came up with nothing hence why I'm on here. If you somehow manage to find the values on Google please forward to me would be much appreciatedn
