How to calculate material removal rate using single phase fluid flow in ANSYS FLUENT?

      Hi,

I am new to the fluid mechanics community. I am using single-phase (Non-Newtonian fluid ) for my simulation. I want to determine material removal rate. How can I do it? Any model ar test file by which I can do it for single phase.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

      With regards

Material removal at what? Do you mean mass flow of the fluid escaping the domain? Or really the rate of material (of your housing for example) being removed?

Material removal at the wall (workpiece). Yes, mass of fluid moving past against the workpiece and escaping from the outlet.

Example: similar to erosion caused by particles in the pipeline.

for single phase flow you can have mass flow rate at outlet. it is at results-surface integrals-mass flow rate.

if you want to material removal like erosion, i think you may need multiphase model.
