      Hi!

I want to collect the data on those i used red circle marked holes .I want to create plane on it but i can not, even I want to build surface in the mesh but it's seems the way that fluid come out can't built the surface.Does there any way can collect the data in those holes or create any planes ?

If you create a face there in geometry and split the domain you'll get an interior zone: you can post process on that. Otherwise look at iso-surface in Fluent and combine that with iso-clip to trim to shape.

      Thank you with your reply!

I try to use 'surface from edges' in DesignModeler to create surface but first problem i met this

and when i keep using this way until the set up it happened says'Unassigned interface zone detected for interface8'and could not initialize

Was it i do not split with Domain?if it was how could i split it?

If you're using Workbench Meshing you need a single multibody part coming from DM. Then check and (probably) delete all contacts in Meshing: there's a tolerance check which can cause false interface pairs.

You REALLY want to be using 2023R1 too. R17 is about 7-8 years old now and the technology has moved on a fair bit.

Hi! thank you with your reply !

the problem as you say to delete contact region solved the problem of 'Initialize',I am really appreciate!

but I met a new problem when I was using result I couldn't find the surface that i set how could be?

By the way I stilled used 'surface from edge ' to create the plane, should I suppose to create rigid body?

If you just created a surface and didn't split anything that surface won't pass to Fluent. You'll have to either remesh or use the iso-surfaces in Fluent.
