SubscriberTry adjusting the time step. Negative cell volume probably appears because the moving wall crosses the cell. nFor the maximum and minimum length scale, I have no rule but what I do is keep the minimum at its default 0 and make the maximum slightly higher than the maximum length scale in this zone.nJanuary 22, 2021 at 12:58 pmkashfia.mahin
SubscriberDo you mean the time step in fluent?nJanuary 22, 2021 at 1:24 pmKarthik R
AdministratorHello,nYes, this is what is hinting at. nIt might also help to understand where the negative cells appear on your computational mesh. Please use the registers to understand this. To do this: Cell Registers -> Field VariablenHit Display and you will understand where the mesh fails.nThank you,nKarthikn

Ansys Employeeremeshing isn't available on hex meshes, only tet meshes and prisms on 2.5D meshes. Please have a look at the Reed Valve Tutorial for System Coupling for how to set up a case with remeshing and smoothing. https://ansyshelp.ansys.com/account/secured?returnurl=/Views/Secured/corp/v211/en/sysc_tut/sysc_tut_reedvalve_fluent.htmlnMarch 24, 2021 at 11:23 amSRA
