how to create a mesh that is divided to ensure i develop a good structured mesh around perforations

      when i try to apply a multizone is still produces a poor mesh. Also, note that this is a 3 body geometry.

      By perforations you mean the rectangular slots right? Or are there any other small features that are not visible. The mesh will follow the split lines on top surface resulting in mesh issues. You could avoid this by using virtual topology

    Hello I suggest you put each of the three layers into its own component, then use the Split Body tool to slice the layers up into blocks by using each face of each hole. Then you use the Share button on the Workbench tab to ensure the mesh gets connected. Make sure to type in an element size that is about 1/4 of the width of the part on the side of the hole.
