      Dear all,

How it is possible to design a spring which has non linear stiffness and damping. COMB can model non linear behavior by allowing force displacement curve but how to include the damping variation?

      Best regards

The damping force is a constant times the velocity. Some spring elements allow another constant times the velocity squared to be in the equation for damping force which is added to the displacement force to create the total spring force.
