SubscriberI want to design exactly the structure given in paper but I can't there is a hole generate between this pyramidal array.
For designing a inverted periodic array 1st I have to made a unit cell of inverted pyramid array structure after that I create it's period. Please give me a solution how can i make this structure fully a resemble of that paper.
Figure given into the paper:
Figure which i draw to simulate

Ansys EmployeeHello Kawshik Nath,
Try not to duplicate same question or posts. posting progres /continuation question in same post will get a faster response. Please refer this Ansys Insight: Ansys Innovation Space —- Forum and Feed
Suggestions are provided in your original post as response:
How to design a period of hollow inverted pyramid? (ansys.com)
You made progress in making the exact copy of the picture. By modyfying pyramid geometry or by adding a rectangular block between each pyramid layer is a solution.
Also, as replied in above post please refer this Understanding mesh order for overlapping objects – Ansys Optics to understand mesh order to make hollow pyramid.
thanks and regards

SubscriberThanks, Ms. Devika.
I’m redesign by using the aforementioned methodes. But here also, When i desgned using rectangle winthin the pyramid, I got abnormal result in reflectance curve. i.e, Getting abnormal oscillation in the simulation result.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Please try to simulate longer time with smaller autoshutoff min. Also, is it possible to share the screenshot of final geometry also?
Is your simulation single wavelength? please check broadband result and see if the reflection curve is smooth or not.

Ansys EmployeeYes. share a screenshot of final geometry picture. Provide maximum information single response.
I repeat, please try to simulate longer time with smaller autoshutoff min.
Is your simulation single wavelength? please check broadband result and see if the reflection curve is smooth or not.
I am also suggesting you to set the settings of simulation similar to the example Silicon solar cell with TiO2 pyramid array – Ansys Optics.
Regards
Devika
