How to find Norton-Bailey Creep Constants?

      Hello All,

I am trying to mimic my experimental results with a model in ANSYS, and incorporate creep.

The experiment is simply measuring deflection of this old timber over the course of a few weeks in order to try to find a few material properties.

However, how do I find the constants purely from the data below?

Any help would be massively appreciated.

      Thank you in Advance!

I assume by "Norton-Bailey"  you mean an expression of the following form:

In Ansys, you can curve fit the Time Hardening Creep expression, with C4 set to zero.

You would have to convert your displacment values to an equivalent strain (=delta_L/L).

Please refer to Chapters 4 and 6 of the MAPDL Material Reference Manual or more details.
