SubscriberI was doing a 2d simulation of a combustion chamber using dynamic mesh for the piston and when i already input all the require information, i previewed the mesh motion and it was fine. However, when i was running my calculation, at even 1 time step, a error saying 'Floating point exception" appear. How do i solve this? I attached the picture for reference including my mesh. It is got to do with my in-cylinder setting at dynamic mesh? and i was using the **piston-full** for the motion udf/profile. Can anyone help me?

Ansys EmployeeIt tells that the the linear solver diverged. Switch off dynamic mesh and check if it is related the kinetics. -

SubscriberHi sir, can it be with my boundary condition? cause i set the side as wall and the bottom line as piston. I didnt specify the outlet as i wanna do simulation on the combustion in the cylinder. Do i need to specify the outlet at the top edge? cause my boundary condition for this has no outlet so i guess maybe is it because of this?

SubscriberHi sir, i switched off and i can run the calculation. However when i turn on the dynamic mesh, the error appear. Any reasons why? It is due to my dynamic mesh settings?

SubscriberCan anyone help me? I been trying but it seems the error is still there. It has been delaying my project.

Ansys EmployeeIf the model works with the dynamic mesh off then it's probably the dynamic mesh. If you compare your set up with the tutorials where are the differences?
As an aside, staff work in a variety of time zones and are often out of the office for odd days or occasionally weeks: please be patient.
