SubscriberHi, I saw some presentations of CFD results (as below) that blend into the background / environments / other geometries that did not involve in the simulation and meshing.
As CFD prefers a simpler and neat model for better meshing process and reducing complexity, it is nearly impossible to have a complicated geometry like below directly undergoing the simulation. Therefore, are there any ways to combine the cfd results (contour, pathlines, etc) with the external CAD / BIM model environment or background in the proprocessing stage for better visualisation / rendering purpose? Thank you!

Ansys EmployeeYes it is possible to include all these when doing post-processing.

SubscriberMay I know how the exact way or procedure of doing this? Like which platform or function allows import of additional CAD/BIM model for superimposing with the CFD results.

Ansys EmployeeI used Ansys EnSight to do this kind of post-processing.

SubscriberI would also suggest Ensight.
Here are some tutorials from our User Guide to get you started in Ensight Getting Started with Ansys EnSight.
I hope this helps!
