I'm trying to solve the current of a moving solid in magnetic field, I tried frame motion and mesh motion, but the current remains zero. While I change the solid to a very viscous fluid, MHD worked. It seems Fluent don't solve the solid motion in magnetic field. How could i make it works?

May 6, 2022 at 1:20 pmMay 6, 2022 at 4:00 pmKonstantinAnsys EmployeeHello This is a limitation that MHD will not generate the Lorentz force inside the solid (no source terms in solid zones defined to accommodate this). The best solution is to do exactly what you are trying: use fluid with properties of solid. You can fix the velocities inside the zone or use high viscosity.
