How to model gas dispersion influenced by atmospheric air in fluent

Hello & good day, n I intend to model a scenario where atmospheric wind enters the fluid domain on one side and leaves the other. Once the steady wind field is generated, I will let methane gas to get inside the fluid domain from a circular surface from bottom plane of fluid domain. n I want to visualise the methane plume dispersion under the wind influence and also to see the flammable cloud concentration of methane.n n It is to state that I am a beginner user of this module and I searched for the solution in this forum and also few video demonstrations but I cannot find exact resemblance and therefore modelling guidance. n I would appreciate If I am guided on:n 1. The complete scheme in fluent to model this scenarion 2. Appropriate models and boundary conditionsn It would be generous of you and helpful to me if relevant guidance supported by examples if not exact but nearest to this scenario is shared. n

Have a look for terms like atmospheric boundary layer and pollutant dispersion on here:you'll also want to look at species modelling. The models are fairly simple to set up once you've done the tutorials but will need some thinking about. Note, the tutorials that come with the software may not be specific to your problem but are intended to let you learn the code and then use your engineering knowledge to extrapolate to what you're interested in. n
