i need to evaluate the movement obtained on a vehicle chassis apliying a force simulating the motor vibration on an harmonic study, and then combine this results with a response spectrum studies where I apply the acceleration generated by the road. My combined result for acceleration is like this.February 3, 2021 at 8:05 pmDave LoomanAnsys EmployeeThis can be done with a Solution Combination. Right click on Model at the top of the tree and insert> Solution Combination. You should use an SRSS combination as shown below. Specify the harmonic frequency you want to combine with the response spectrum results and use an SRSS combination as shown below. Since the harmonic results are signed quantities the negative values would cancel with the unsigned response spectrum results so SRSS avoids that.nnViewing 1 reply thread

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation. Click here to join this event to learn how to leverage Ansys Fluids on the cloud, thanks to Ansys Gateway powered by AWS.
