SubscriberDear Community,
I am currently working on a contact situation between an Impactor and a plate with low velocities (2400 mm/s). The input is the velocity of the Impactor and as an output I like to obtain the contact force and contact pressure. The contact force is selectable as a solution information but I have no idea how to obtain the contact pressure. Can anyone help me?
Thank you

Ansys EmployeeHi Lusia, set the "Output contact forces" in the Output controls to an cycles or any respected option and insert the tracker "Contact force" and select the body and the force component, from here you can can reverse calculate the pressure as the area is known

SubscriberDear Ram,
thank you for your reply. So I basically calculate the pressure manually by calculating the total contact force and using the contact area. Is there also a way to use user defined results (e.g. with the word "PRESSURE")?
Thanky, Luisa
