SubscriberHi what is the best way to project to a plain when using a mesh file.
I want to cut the stl file with a plain delete 1 half then use the lines where it is cut along with details not on that plain.
Any feedback would be great

Hi
thanks sorted that bit, but I need to project some of the part that does not cut through the plain on to the plain, how do I do that?

There doesn't seem a direct way to project parts of stl that don't pass through the plane. below are a couple of options you can try out:
1. Create another plane passing through the other parts of the stl. Then use the process mentioned earlier to get the edges are splitting the stl part.
2. Convert the other stl parts to solid body. You can then use project tool to project the solid body on to a surface.
