How to resolve “process hfss3d: out of disk space”

We are simulating a 16 layer stack-up to extract the S-parameters of the interconnects using HFSS 3D Layout design tool (Ansys AEDT 2020R2 version). We are getting an error message "Solving adaptive passes failed", after a warning "process hfss3d: out of disk space ".
The machine on which the simulation is run has: 256 GB RAM, Threadripper 32 core processor, Nvidia 3090RTX and 1TB of disk space.
Can you give any suggestions to overcome this problem?

Please check the available space of the disk where your simulation file is saved and make sure that you will have the required disk space before running the simulation.
You can see the amount of memory used by simulation for which you got the error by using the profile window.
      Thanks Chinmay

thanks for the reply, I am sharing the screenshot of the last adaptive pass profile. As you can see from it, I am solving for 4 frequencies and each frequency takes memory ~ 49.03 G, does it mean I need 4x49.03G =196.12G of RAM?
      Thanks Shekar

        Hi Shekar,

As per the screen shot, your system is out of disc space in the directory that contaions your project. Try simulating the project in other directory which has sufficient space.

        Best regards,
        Praneeth.
