how to select a face of a beam

  I need shear force and bending moment diagrams for a beam.
  
  the load is a function of two variables and acts on the surface.
  
  I create an airfoil cross-section beam in the design modeler. but can't select face to apply the force.

  You can only apply forces to the beam elements that are on the line body. The surface you can see is just for visualization of orientation of the beam.

  Thank you for your reply.
  
  I have used the solid form and my problem whit load distribution solved. but have a new problem to use beam tools. I can not select the body in geometry.
