SubscriberHi there
I am trying to simulate a diff model near Via, and i have one question how to setup a port when there is no groud plane. As seen in the img below, the trace near via doesn't have any grould plane.
I create a very simple diff line, it is attached. (please change the name "Diff_no_GND.jpg" to "Diff_no_GND.aedtz").
There are 4 ports, and they don't have any groud plane. Could you let me know how to set the port for differtianl lines w/o ground plane?
Thanks!

Ansys EmployeeHi Edward,
Thank you for reaching out and your patience is much appreciated.
Please note that the Ansys employee cannot access any links on the forum and do share only screenshots of your model. Kindly go through the port types section in the HFSS 3d layout help document to know the detailed information about the available port types and select the most appropriate one. Alternatively, you can access this information from Ansys online help in this link - Ansys Electronics 2023 R1 - Port Setup in HFSS 3D Layout.
Best regards,
Praneeth.
