As you mentioned that your geometry has too many surfaces, you can try repairing the geometry in Spaceclaim (check repair and prepare tap) and then try doing meshing. Also, As per your image you kept element size as 50mm. You can reduce it and also try with some other settings.

      Hey! Thanks for the response.

So I tried to merge some faces and I also ran simplify on the geometry.
However I am now getting the error "Mesher failed to mesh topological edges".

      Any Advice?
      Thanks again.

Can you try removing those edges by using repair >extra edges in spaceclaim.
Also, you can try simplifying your geometry with the geometry you have, as edges are not smooth. If you need any help with the spaceclaim, there are many courses available on Ansys innovation courses site. You can go through it. I have attached link for your reference.

      Edges remain, even after repairing.
Also, I did not create my geometry. It was created by a software. So, I don't know how I can simplify it.

Thanks for sending the Courses. Will Look through them now.

1)The geometry you would have got from topology optimization, I guess. If the thickness of middle part is constant, you can project the outer lines on plane and can make the edges smooth and again create the model by extruding it. This can simplify your geometry and then it will be easy to mesh. This can take some more time.
2)Also, you can use virtual topology option in Ansys mechanical to create virtual surface for meshing. You can try any of above methods.
Also, I forgot to ask if you have tried with keeping mesh defeaturing on and given some value in image shown below. This can also help to mesh your geometry. (Capture curvature keep it off). You can play with mesh settings and try.
