SubscriberIn previous versions of Ansys software, the User License Preferences program was used to switch the preferences so that our Teaching licenses would be used first before our Research licenses (which is what we want in teaching labs and for class accounts). This program seems to be missing in 2021R1. How do you we do this now? n -

Ansys EmployeeHi Michael, there are no more preferences with 2021R1 and newer. The changes for ANSYS Academic Licenses are available to you here: https://download.ansys.com/Installation%20and%20Licensing%20Help%20and%20TutorialsnOnce you have the new license file you will be able to run with 2021R1. For previous versions, users will need to clear their preferences to recognize the updated product features in the new license.nnThanksnMattnn -

SubscriberSo, it looks like I will have to restrict which accounts can access the teaching licenses using the license server's option file. I am looking through the FlexNet Publisher 2019 R2 License Administration Guide now; I seem to have a lot of reading to do.nThanksn -
