SubscriberHi, I am simulating the side-to-side compression of a helmet using solid elements. Am expecting the outer surface to be in tension, and the inner surface to be in compression. How can I generate a picture / results with binary colors, whereby the 2 sides are of 2 different colors, and the neutral plane is grey?.For flexure of simple geometry such as a bar, I know this can be done by plotting the normal stress along the length of the beam. But the helmet in this case is a doubly-curved geometry, so im unsure how to achieve the same.Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! n -

SubscribernPlot Maximum Principal Stress to show the level of tensile stress on the outside of the helmet, where the values will be positive.nPlot Minimum Principal Stress to show the level of compressive stress on the inside of the helmet, where the values will be negative.n
