We recently upgraded our HPC cluster to Linux Red Hat 7.9. We were told this isn't compatible with ANSYS Fluent 2020 R2, but are really hoping to use 2020 R2 as well as 2022 R1 on the HPC cluster. Is there a way to do so?
AlexFebruary 9, 2022 at 3:09 pmGeorge KarnosAnsys EmployeeThe following link shows the OS compatibility, 7.9 is not listed.
It is listed for 2022 R1.
That being said, are you seeing an error with 202 R2?
February 9, 2022 at 3:14 pmsolovievSubscriberOur issue (posted in another discussion here: https://forum.ansys.com/discussion/35798/vof-lump-transcript-file-time-issue-between-fluent-versions-2020-r2-and-2021-r2#latest) is that lump transcript files are not working after loading previous cas/dat files into the new version.
Our next option to solve this was to hopefully re-install 2020R2 but we were told it was not compatible.
