HV Insulator’s Dissipation factor

  Hi guys! Could you tell me is it possible to obtain DF directly from ANSYS for HV insulator. Or can u show the other ways of finding it?

  Hello Askar,
  We may use electrostatic solver to calculate ideal C for lossless capacitance, and then use equations to get equivelent serie resistance (ESR) and the dissipation factor.
  We also could use AC conduction solver to calculate conductance G (1/R) with conductivity of dielectric material, but this G would be parallel conductance and need to convert it to serie resistance (ESR).
