Ansys Employee,n Hydrostatic Pressure is applied directly on to the element faces using the SFCONTROL, SFE,,PRES and SFFUN (ansys.com) commands. Please check the help documentation links for details.nRegards,nIshan.https://forum.ansys.com/discussion/3978/how-to-access-the-ansys-online-helpn -

SubscriberHi @1shan, thank you for your reply.nI was currently trying to model the hydrostatic pressure as an elastic support, as described on the following page: https://simutechgroup.com/a-normal-and-tangential-elastic-foundation-in-ansys-workbench-mechanical/ . However, I am not really certain about this method. Can you explain what the differences are between applying direct pressure to the surface, using one of the by you mentioned commands, compared to modelling an elastic support?nThanks a lot!nRegardsn
