SubscriberI am using chemkin 24 species 121 reaction model for methane air combustion in a premixed burner. even after using all the boundary condition check and all other parameters and patching, The solution case is not starting its reactions.
attached image shows how the temperature settle back to the ambient temperature after patching.

Ansys EmployeeCan you please give us more information on the setup and physics?
March 17, 2022 at 11:24 ammechengrahul
SubscriberYes Sure The setup considered SST K omega to model turbulence, DO for radiation and species transport with eddy dissipation concept for turbulence chemistry interaction. For more information about species transport refer to attached image.
I also tried to simulate with finite rate/eddy dissipation. Reaction considered at ambient pressure.
The premixed burner has cylindrical shape with one end inlet and other end axial outlet.
Thank you

Ansys EmployeeIf you look at the cold result, do you have the right mixture and some way of stabilising the flame?

SubscriberDear Rob,
I have already tried this method to first simulate cold flow then start reaction. But it didn't work.
