I cannot open ansys 2023 after downloading and following setup instructions

Hi,
I have just downloaded Ansys 2023 using the free student download, but after following the setup procedure and attempting to open Ansys workbench I am greeted by a 'Root Element missing' error (picture attached). I have tried following the advice for similar issues posted on this forum but so far nothing has worked.
I am using the latest build of Windows 11 if that makes any difference
Any help is appreciated!
