SubscribernHellonMany time, I need particle analysis but Ansys Fluent does not work particle history export without separated file. If I check the separate file option then it is fine but too slow saving and need a lot of storage.nAnd I read almost every release note and limitation note but I cannot find any clue...nPlease let me know how can it works. Is it still bug? or just I don't know?n -

Ansys EmployeeWhat do you mean with separated files? You want only the particle export without the relates encas file?n -

SubscriberIn transient case, ensight file is separated each time step when you check the option Separate Files for Each Time Step. I don't want to separated files. But Fluent does not work unchecked state.n

Ansys EmployeeThat option should be the same as the automatic export of EnSight during calculation. So Unchecking should be consistent. You wrote this is not working:which version you are using? Can you reproduce on simple file?n -

SubscriberI already try that same option. That is just sample.nI try on 17.0/18.2/2019 R3nIf I uncheck on solution & particle history export window then fluent makes error and print this comment(2019 R3)Error at host: nFailed to open temporary file for sorting. -

nnToday I try on 2021R1 and it worked!nThank you.nnnBut I find a bug. If you set a particle history export option and again you open particle history window then looks like a reset.nCheck this out.n

And... um...Actually I use a trick about avoid saving *.vel file each time.nMethod is this.n※ In my cases, particle is very small about 0.3μm, so I don't calculate a flow and turbulence when particle tracking.nnSolution export interval set more then total particle iteration.nParticle history export set with checking separate file for each time.nI can get separated particle history ensight result files without *.vel saving for each time.nnAnsys 2021R1 is worked when set same interval between Solution export and Particle history export.nBut if I set a Solution export interval more then total particle iteration make error window like this below picture.nnI hope check this also. nI hope *.vel saving interval can control.nBut by then I have to use this method.. n
