SubscriberHello,
I'm running a simple simulation on ICEPAK. When I try to continue the solution from where it was left off, I get the following error on Fluent screen and solution doesn't continue:
-------------------------------------------------
> (read-file-bc "PC1Current2_fullrestart.cas")
Error: Thread_Set_Profile_Var: invalid bc specification
Error: Thread_Set_Profile_Var: invalid bc specification
Error Object: #f
Warning: An error or interrupt occurred while reading the journal file.
Some commands may not have been completed.
-------------------------------------------------
Note that this occurs when I choose to "Restart" an existing solution. I don't change any bc's or anything. Do you have any recommendations?

Ansys EmployeeCan you check through the settings. I agree that nothing should have changed, but it's a good starting point. We don't have much Icepak experience from the ANSYS side on here, so hopefully the wider community can help.

SubscriberNothing changes in settings as far as I can see. I isolated the problem to a boundary condition ("resistance" in ICEPAK), trying to figure out why it causes the problem. Thanks for the reply!

Ansys Employeewhen restarting, make sure you check Full restart and select solutionID.fdat as the restart file. In the solutionID enter a new name so that it doesn't conflict with the old one.
Other issues like BCs, you need to check each one individually and try to isolate the problem.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
