SubscriberHello,
I am trying to extract both the drag force and inertia force from my LS-DYNA model which uses the ICFD method. The model is pictured below and consists of waves impacting a rigid piled structure which is eventually to be made elastic (steel). I am able to use ICFD_DATABASE_DRAG which outputs "Fp" and "Fv", which to the best of my knowledge are the pressure drag force and viscous drag force respectively.
I believe that Fp may be the drag force as it closely matches my hand calculations using the Morrison equation, however I am unsure of how to obtain the inertia force or the total drag force for the matter. Any insight on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
