      Hello,

I am creating three switchgear in 3D Ansys Maxwell Electronics and there are currents passing through the top and bottom bars of each switchgear. I want to generate a field for Mag_B in the airbox but when I create a region and validate I get this error:

       Maxwell3DDesign1 (Magnetostatic)

        [warning] Model dimensions (6, 30318) are beyond the expected range (1e-06, 10000). (11:02:46 AM Jan 26, 2021)

[error] Illegal external terminal 'C1': An external terminal must border the edge of the problem region and coincides with the surface of a 3D object. (11:02:46 AM Jan 26, 2021)

[error] Illegal external terminal 'C2': An external terminal must border the edge of the problem region and coincides with the surface of a 3D object. (11:02:46 AM Jan 26, 2021)

Hi @ftse33 nIf the current is entering from one end of the top rod and exit from one end of the bottom rod. It should be enough if you create a region that touches the ends of the top and bottom rods enclosing everything in it.nCrosscheck if the surface of the rod is plain where it is touching the region and the whole rod cross-section is touching the regionnare you giving any excitation to the middle rod?nThere seems to be a very small part (of order 10^-6) is modeled in your simulation please check what it is and correct it.nnregards,nNavya

Hello Array,nThank you for reaching out. The middle rod is not excited but not all of the rods are touching the region because of the middle three bars.nOnly the first three rods are touching one side of the region and the last three rods are touching the other side of the region.nWhat do you mean by this:nThere seems to be a very small part (of order 10^-6) is modeled in your simulation please check what it is and correct it.nnRegards,nF Tsenn
