SubscriberHi,
I am a complete beginner to ansys software and yet came with such a challenging task. I want to simulate (make a 3d model at first) a very complex sine-log antenna type. I made an exact graph of it in matlab (screenshot below) and I need to somehow import it in ansys to extrude it as an upper copper layer of the pcb... I have some freedom in terms of the format of the picture (I can export it as pdf or other type of file from the matlab), but I have to keep the proportions very precise, so can you at least guide me through the steps. What actions do I have to take to achieve the described goal? -

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Thank you for reaching out to the Ansys Learning Forum.
It is possible to draw the geometry in AEDT HFSS itself if you are drawing this model in Matlab using design equations. Please go through “Drawing an Equation-Based Curve” section in the HFSS help document available under the Help menu for more detailed information.
Best regards,
Praneeth.

Boost Ansys Fluent Simulations with AWS
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) helps engineers design products in which the flow of fluid components is a significant challenge. These different use cases often require large complex models to solve on a traditional workstation.
