SubscriberHi all,
I am trying to connect the solution in steady-state thermal analysis to static structural analysis. By doing this I will have an imported load in the static structural analysis. this imported load is not distributed in time. I really like to have temperature distribution over time as an imported load (like for 10seconds)
Can you help me to solve this problem?
Bests,
Erfan Fatehi

SubscriberYou would need a Transient Thermal feeding a Static Structural in order to import temperature loads at different times.
Steady State Thermal is by definition the solution at infinite time. Even though the solver uses "time" to converge the solution from the initial state to the final state, the temperature at the halfway point in a Steady State Thermal model is not the same as the temperature of a Transient Thermal model at the halfway time to the finite end time.

SubscriberThank you so much. Yes, the problem was that I saw the steady-state thermal analysis could solve in time and I was wondering why I should use transient thermal analysis.
Thank you for your response.
