SubscriberI am using Ansys R1 version now, I find that I could equip LS-dyna in the ACT extension part. After I equip it, I could find the icon of LS-dyna in my "Toolbox Customization", however, I cannot find it in the "Toolbox", I put a screenshot in this post. It is free to use LS-dyna in R1? Cause I am not sure do I have the license or not. Thank you.

Ansys EmployeeThe LS-Dyna extension is a built-in ACT extension in Workbench. However, you don't have the license to run it if you are using Student (free) version.
Thanks,
Win

Ansys EmployeeWhat installation package that you used to install the software ? That would tell whether you are using Student (free) version or Academic (paid) version.
Or open User License Preferences GUI (whether from Windows or from Workbench -> Tools) , then see what licenses you have in the list.

SubscriberIn the GUI, I find I have
Ansys Academic Research Mechanical and CFD
Ansys Academic Teaching Mechanical and CFD
I think both of them are not student version, is that right?

Ansys EmployeeUnfortunately, those licenses don't allow the use of LS-Dyna extension either. You need one of the followings:
ANSYS Academic Research LS-DYNA
ANSYS LS-DYNA
ANSYS LS-DYNA PC
ANSYS LS-DYNA PrepPost
ANSYS Mechanical Enterprise PrepPost

Ansys EmployeeSorry about that.
Please reach out to your ANSYS Account Manager. They might be able to provide you a temp key or evaluation key for it.
Thanks,

Ansys EmployeeIt may be in the installer or product list, that doesn't necessarily mean you have a licence for it. nhttps://forum.ansys.com/discussion/22041/ansys-ls-dyna-student-faqs#latestn
