Hello,
on some geometry in 2D view outer thread are not represented correctly.
As you can see in below image some lines are missing in several view.
I already tried to create a new design with a new model, but also in it the drawing view problem is present.Â
After some test it seems to be related to the chamfers on the edges where the thread is applied.
Attached you can find the file of example.
Can you verify the cause of this behaviour and how to obtain the correct representation?
Thank you in advance,
Regards,
Marco Ugolotti

Thank you Devendra Badgujar for your quick answer.
I've already noticed that in wireframe mode all lines are visible, but, as you can simply imagine, for complex drawing wireframe cannot be used.I attach another example to highlight a "strange" behaviour: changing chamfer dimensions and body rotation the lines shown are different
body rotate of 45°
Â
Best regards,
Marco

Ansys EmployeeHello Marco Ugolotti
I checked with the development team and they said that it is a bug inside Hidden Line engine. Depending on the model orientation, Hidden Line Removed outputs incorrect edge classification (visible vs hidden) Â
A possible workaround is to try different thread display standard (so that thread display will look consistent).
I attach another example to highlight a "strange" behaviour: changing chamfer dimensions and body rotation the lines shown are different
This is the same issue with the Hidden Line engine.
