Inflation layer on a vertical

  Hello, I am simulating the flow in a vertical slot fishway, and I would like to create an inflation layer around the vertical baffles, such that it gets enclosed by an inflation layer. Something like the mesh picture below only that the mesh continuous into the plane to the height of the vertical baffle.
  
  I have played around quite a bit with the inflation layer option but nothing produces the desired results. Any ne have a good tip to accomplish this?

  Looking at the mesh resolution you've got a coarse mesh in the narrow regions: inflation layers are formed but the bulk domain mesh is then not very good.
  
  Assuming the baffles are full height read up on sweep mesh, and how to inflate it. Also review how the proximity size function works.

  Yep I agree with rwoolhou, make sure your cell size is smaller, you could also try to use multi-zones .
