Inflation layers too small?

I have a geometry with widely different length scales in various locations. I have tried my best to apply different mesh controls to get y+<1 everywhere for incompressible, k-omega SST everywhere. After many hours of meshing some areas have y+ = 0.9 and some y+=0.0001. Is it possible that the y+=0.0001 areas have an inflation layer that is too small?

      Hello:
Yep, this is possible. Why don't you estimate what your first layer thickness should be based on some hand calcs (based on your flow conditions) and compare it with what you have in your mesh?
