SubscriberIs the research version of ansys which is being provided in the student team sponsorship program is the same as the student version? . Does it has any limitations or it is like the pro version of ansys? .

Great question!
The ANSYS Academic Research products that we provide Student Teams has no limits, they are the same as our full commercial products, except subject to our academic terms of use. Also, the ANSYS Student product covers the same physics and capabilities as the ANSYS Academic Research Mechanical and CFD product - Except the ANSYS Student product has the geometric and numerical limits in place, and has a more restricted set of geometry import options.
