Ansys EmployeeNo worries, I speak little to no French. And my French team leader can barely understand my (English) accent.
Assuming you extracted the downloaded zip. Run setup.exe as Admin, and install to C: whatever Ansys asks for. Provided you don't have any non-ASCII characters (e-ecute etc) it ought to work.

Ansys EmployeeDoes your username include a symbol above the e in Stephan? A lot of the Ansys tools don't understand non standard (English) characters and the Fluent message is St?phan which isn't a good sign.

Ansys EmployeeThe watertight workflow may not work on stl as it's a faceted format. Try fault tolerant.

Ansys EmployeeSTL is a faceted geometry format and can be of poor quality. The two workflows are good for most geometry cases, but there's also the tree (no workflow) if it's really poor. What is the geometry of? SpaceClaim can patch the surfaces to give a "normal" CAD file.
Workbench should just "work". What errors are you seeing?

Ansys EmployeeThe launcher error has been answered on here before (not by me) so should show up with a search.
Re converting stl (faceted) to traditional CAD, have a look in the Faceted tab in SpaceClaim. There's a "skin" tool, and from memory the documentation will explain how to use that. Otherwise you will need Fault Tolerant workflow.

Ansys EmployeeThe Username is done via Windows, I can't help with that as I'm a cause of computer problems, not a fixer of!

Ansys EmployeeOK, no worries. The software is designed to work with UNIX, some parts more than others, and doesn't understand most of the "odd" characters. That's not something I tend to think about as I used to use UNIX and DOS, so never add anything other than - or _ into any filename or path: I don't even use spaces which has been OK for about 5-10 years.

Ansys EmployeeNot if you're using Windows 10/11! Rename the Ansys %appdata% too, that can corrupt and cause problems.
