SubscriberHello everyone,
I am currently facing challenges in finding the most suitable method for simulating a Two-Way Shape Memory Alloy. My goal is to input temperature values and determine the force and displacement generated by the SMA-Spring during the heating and cooling processes.
Unfortunately, the examples provided in the Ansys Help Documents do not cover this specific phenomenon (Intrinsic Two-Way Shape Memory Effect). I would greatly appreciate any guidance or advice on how to tackle this issue.
I have made certain assumptions regarding the boundary conditions just to make this work. However, I had to input displacement values for every step to obtain the force, which is not accurate in my case. I am seeking input from anyone who has experience dealing with such a problem in simulation. Please share your insights and recommendations.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. -
