Is it possible to employ integrated model considering both laser generation and transport equations? Is it possible to combine transport models with laser emission?nTWLM combines transport model (diffusion and carrier recombination) with laser emission. It is a 1D model suitable for edge emitting lasers and can be used for a standalone physical simulation or in a circuit simulation (combined with various external cavities):nhttps://support.lumerical.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036108274-Laser-TW-TWLM-INTERCONNECT-ElementnWe do have another solver called CHARGE, which is a 2D/3D finite element drift diffusion solver with standard mobility and tunneling models. While CHARGE does not model laser emission physically, it does have a stimulated recombination model and the parameters of this model can be populated from the TWLM simulation. Find more details about the model in section Stimulated recombination here:nhttps://support.lumerical.com/hc/en-us/articles/360034919113-Semiconductor-material-model-propertiesnQuestion migrated from the Lumerical Knowledge Exchangen
