SubscriberHello everyone,nI'm new to Ansys Q3D. So far I've been using it to extract some parameters such as inductance and resistance of a PCB. Now I'm wondering if I can use it too to obtain some parameters from a transformer such as magnetizing inductance, leakage inductance, and winding capacitance. I have done it using Ansys Maxwell and it works fine. The issue is it takes a long time to do the setup and running the simulation on Maxwell.nOn Q3D, I have tried to run a transformer model and get the ACRL matrix. However, the results seem too far from the calculated value. So, does anyone have any experience simulating a transformer on Ansys Q3D? nThanks.n -

Ansys EmployeeHi @ramadhanmh nFor Transformer analysis, Ansys Maxwell is best advised to use. nYou can also use PEXprt to model the transformer and then couple it with maxwell for additional magnetic analysis. This way you reduce some time for setting up the model in Mawell directly.nnRegards,nNavyann
