SubscriberHello everyone I can perform pre-stressed modal or transient analysis using ANSYS Mechanical. However, I cannot use bolt-pretension results in another static analysis. I have a case that, same pretension with plenty of different loads, if I can solve bolt-pretension once, than I will save so much time.

SubscriberI tried your suggestion. However, exported stresses does not match with original analysis and I have convergence issues.
I exported Eqv. Von Misses stress as a text file. Than I imported as initial stress.

SubscriberYes, that is a 4 year old post and the videos and archive have been deleted.
The description should be sufficient to recreate the workflow.
Do you know how to restart a normal solution? Master that as a first step.

Anyway, my interest in this case is in relation with this other post about how to evaluate several cycles of a loading setup (in my case 20) but not so many as to make sense to apply fatigue tools:

I thought this “Static to Static” approach could be one way to go about it… Do you have any suggestion/s on this particular matter?
