SubscriberHi, I have a customer who is unable to run his fluid flow simulations in Discovery AIM 19.1. His AIM simulation hangs with MPI application error. The installation logs indicate an error but the install.err file does not indicate what that error is. I have re-installed the pre-requisites but that does not solve the problem. Can you please have a look and provide suggestions on how to get his Discovery AIM to work ? Please let me know if you need any further information regarding the customer's set-up. With Best Regards, Vijay🛈 This post originally contained file attachments which have been removed in compliance with the updated Ansys Learning Forum Terms & Conditions -

Ansys EmployeeHello VKVEERA
Is this issue observed on a specific model or for any other model? If it is model specific, will it be possible for you to share a simplified version to reproduce the issue?
Can you also try following options:
1. delete files from %temp% folder
2. restart the machine

SubscriberThank you for your response Naresh Patre
I created a simple model for the customer on my machine. The model ran fine at my end. The user has restarted the machine multiple times after installing the package. It did not help solve the problem. The file is 50MB even without results. Please share an upload link if you want to view the archive.
I will ask him to test after deleting files from the temp folder and let you know if that solves the issue. -

Ansys EmployeeVKVEERA Since you are able to run the model, it seems there is some problem at customer's end. Can we get the snapshot of error message?

SubscriberNaresh Patre . Please find the transcript file from the run done on customer's machine. The transcript I initially uploaded was the one from the run done on my machine for the same geometry.

Ansys EmployeeVKVEERA I could not get any relevant information related to this issue. Can you try deleting files from %temp% folder and also reinstall the application?
